Their aims are:
1. To provide information and support to parents and professionals caring for individuals with severe learning disabilities and challenging behaviour
2. To demonstrate how local service provision for individuals with severe learning disabilities and challenging behaviour can be improved, and to actively facilitate such provision on a national basis
3. To highlight the needs of those with challenging behaviour and to influence policy on their behalf
4. To promote research into challenging behaviour associated with severe learning disabilities and to disseminate the results of such research so that practical benefits are gained

Parents for Inclusion
Parents for Inclusion is a network of parents of disabled children and children with 'special needs'. In our families and as an organisation we have worked together with disabled people to build inclusive communities in ordinary life, where all people are truly welcome.
We are a national charity, and started in 1984 as Parents in Partnership. Our experiences have led us to develop the following 'tools' for parents. Most importantly, we work closely with disabled adults, to bring their understanding and experience to parents, so that parents can become real allies to their disabled children.

In the UK there are over 24 million people who parent – it’s not just mums and dads who do it. Families come in all shapes and sizes. Grandparents, stepparents, brothers, sisters, other relatives, friends and foster carers are all involved in raising happy, healthy children.

Sibs
Sibs is the UK charity for people who grow up with a disabled brother or sister.
They support siblings who are growing up with or who have grown up with a brother or sister with any disability, long term chronic illness, or life limiting condition.
There are over half a million young siblings and over a million adult siblings in the UK. Siblings have specific needs that require attention at different stages of their lives, including relief of isolation, information, and strategies for coping with the situations they find themselves in.
Their aim is to enhance the lives of siblings by providing them with information and support, and by influencing service provision for siblings throughout the UK.
Their long term vision is that each local authority in the UK will have a dedicated sibling service, providing sibling groups and one to one support for children who are siblings.
